Cute as a Button and a Goodbye!

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning! Tracy here today.  It’s such a sad day for me!!  Today is going to be my last post as part of the Markerpop family. ;-(   It was a huge decision to step down as I LOVE this company and team. It’s hard to believe I have been apart of it for a year an half now.  I have been struggling lately with time, mojo and more. So sadly I said goodbye to all but one of my teams! Yikes! I’m not going to know what to do with so much time on my hands!!  Maybe, just maybe, my mojo will come back and I will get back to creating and posting and who knows maybe Markerpop will make some room for me in the future!!! ;-))

For my last post I used a Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things.

Notice I did some paper piecing on her…..stinkin’ cute!!  I added some shading to the paper pieced items as well. The rest of her was colored with Copic markers. The paper is Doodlebug “Flower Box” and the cardstock is  Bazzill Cardshoppe Cardstock – Candy Hearts  and Easter Grass.

The image is Cute as A Button by MFT.  The button die is a border die from MFT as well.

Copic colors used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair:  E42, E43, E44, E47

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all around in the crafty world….I know me, I won’t be able to stay away for too long!!! I have met so many people, who I now call my friends  in this business. Crafter’s are a great bunch!!

Goodbye!!!! ;-))

Tips and Tricks Tuesday!

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Tips & Tricks

Good morning! Tracy here today for tips and tricks tuesday.

I don’t know about you but I am a HUGE fan of the Uptown Girls from Stamping Bella.  They are so stinkin’ cute but can be challenging because they are larger images then the norm.  So I also find my cards tend to be very CAS designs.

Here is a little something I do to CAS designs that just help it “pop”.  I like to take a black Copic Multiliner and hand draw a frame around the image. Sometimes I use a ruler but other times I love the no so straight lines going around. You can even do a faux stitch along it.

Today I used Audry Loves Her Makeup by Stamping Bella.  She is colored with Copic Markers.  The Colors used are:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair:  E21, E23, E25
Dress: W4, W6, W7, W9, 100
Blue:  BG45 BG49

I added some depth to the blues with a pastel pencil.  The Cardstock is Bazzil Cardshoppe Cardstock – Candy Necklace and Licorice.

Inspiration Monday!

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning Tracy here today! I’m a little late, sorry about that! It has been a hectic weekend, today was the FIRST time I have even looked at a computer, thought of crafting….and all that good stuff. So my apologies!

Today I am using the adorable Bee by Illustrated Jennifer Nilson for My Favorite Things doodle garden line! I also used the Blueprints dies for the layers, also by My Favorite Things.

The paper is from an older Authentique line, but there are plenty of beautiful Authentique paper pads in the store currently.

I added some glitter to the wings and the fuzzyness of the bee was done by using short flicks of my marker.

Make A Wish

Written by Tracy Valure. Posted in Anything But a Card, Eye Candy (Projects)

Good morning. Tracy here on this wonderful Saturday morning, which also happens to be my favorite day of the week.

Today I created a simple card using the Cupcake set from the new Avery Elle line of Stamps and Dies.  If you haven’t had a chance to check them out in the store, you should!  It makes creating so much easier. No cutting…just stamp and roll it through your die cut machine.  Easy Peasy.    They also have the cutest French Macaron set, I can just envision some pastel macarons on a card. Yummy!

So remember I said my Tag was SIMPLE…well this was virtually NO coloring to this. The ONLY coloring I kind of did was add some Copic C1 and C00 to the frosting. Other than that it was all a matter of stamping out the Cupcake stamps, picking out the coordinating Cupcake Dies and rolling it through my die cut machine.

The sentiment was part of the set and added some Faux zigzag stitching to it.  The paper is Hootenany by My Minds Eye.
