She’s Back… With Stamping Bella

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi!  It’s Lisa and I’m back again today on the blog, and I’m sharing another card using that cutie from the Stamping Bella – SG Piñata Set

I just love her!  This time I went with a different card layout, different colors, and a new sentiment.  The sentiment comes from the Mama Elephant Wishing You Stamp Set.  On the stamp set itself the smaller sentiment was too long to fit on my card.  To fix this problem I just cut the stamp where I wanted the sentiment to be split up.  I also decided to make my own ombre looking sentiments with Altenew Dye Inks in Parsian Blue and Sapphire.  I’m not sure that I totally love it, but I wanted to just try something different.

To color my characters in this time I used a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers in the following colors… pudgy (CR2, CR5, TN2, EB1, LG4, CG4, CT1, CT2, GB4, TN5) and piñata (PL2, GB3, PP4, CT3, LG2, TB6, BT7, DR3).  I also added some faux stitching by running the Lawn Fawn Stitch Boarders Dies.  I then finished my card off with a fun mix of sequins.

Don’t forget about the awesome prize pack that someone’s going to win just by entering our challenge!

Aloha…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi!  It is Lisa here with you today, and as the weather warms up here in Ohio I couldn’t help but be inspired by the summer that is unfolding around me…

To create this card I started by die cutting my tag from the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Square Tag Dies.  I then stamped the Aloha from the Sugar Pea Designs Pineapple Paradise Stamp Set. The font in this set is so pretty!  I added a few splashes of Gold Spray Mist, and set this off to the side.

Next, I stamped my pineapple (also from the Sugar Pea Designs Set) and cut it out to layer onto my tag.  While I was looking at the pineapple I thought it needed more dimension.  To create dimension in the colors I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers in a slightly darker color than what the image was stamped in. (TN3 and LG4)  Once I created my card base I used some fun summer themed patterned paper from the Pebbles Sunshiny Days 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

I hope this card bring a little sunshine your way,  Don’t forget to join us in our monthly challenges!  We have an awesome prize box up for grabs this time around!  Just use some of your markers that we carry in the store and your project is good to go!

Reach For The Stars With WPplus9

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa here with you today, and I have a card that I think would work perfectly for any Grad young or old… or anyone who might need a little pick me up.

I just love these sweet images in the WPlus9 Design Studio Little Dreamers onto Ranger Watercolor Cardstock.  To create my card I started by stamping the star image first as I wanted it in the forefront. I then masked it off and stamped the little bear hanging off the side.  To color the bears and create a background I used Distress Markers to watercolor with.  While the panel was still wet I flicked some white onto it to create an outer space look.

Once the panel was completely dry I die cutted it with the Lawn Fawn Stax Small Stitched Rectangle Cuts.  I added some star sequins to finish the panel off before adhering it to a bright yellow and white stripe patterned paper.

When I watercolored with the Distress Markers I colored them first onto my clear stamping blocks and picked the colors up with water and a brush.  I hope to see you join us in our latest challenge for a chance to win an amazing prize!  And don’t forget to check out our latest giveaway too!

Thanks so much For stopping by!

Penny Black: Watercolor Designed Stamps

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hi!  It is Lisa here today and I have a floral card to share with you.  I am sure many of you have seen the Penny Black stamps that resemble watercolored images once they are stamped, and I find them to be terrific!  The specific stamp that I have used for today’s project is called Magnolia Rhapsody, while this specific set is on back order there are many of the newest release sets that give the same results.

To create my card I started by stamping the Magnolia image with various Tombow Dual Brush Markers.  When you are wanting to add multiple layers of colors to one image I highly recommend using a MISTI.  This will save you so much time and just make everything easier!  After I had all of my colors added I used the blender pen that came in my Tombow Marker Set to blend the colors together, and to take away any splotchy areas.  You could also use a paintbrush and clean water for blending.

Next, I added my sentiment from the Mama Elephant Wishing You Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn ink in Deep Sea.  I then went around the borders of the card with Distress Ink in Broken China, and finished the card off with clear sequins.

I hope you are joining us in our latest challenge, as well as make sure you get entered into our latest giveaway!
