Make A Wish!

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Uncategorized

Hi, and Happy Friday!  It is Lisa here today and I have a sweet Birthday card to share with you that incorporates old and new products together!

Isn’t she so sweet?  I just love the Lulu stamp sets by Stamping Bella TT Stamp Sets!  I apologize that this specific set is not available in the store right now, but lots of the other ones are in and ready for some stamping love!

After I stamped her with Memento ink I colored her in with a mix of Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers.  I LOVE that these markers have a brush tip and a small bullet tip to get those tighter spaces!  After she was done I cut her out and set her to the side.

Next, I stamped and embossed my sentiment from the new My Favorite Things Handwritten Happiness with Wow! Embossing Powder in Frozen Berries.  I then die cut my panel with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle die.  When I looked at her on the panel I felt like she needed something to ground her or for her to stand on, so I pulled out my MFT Fringed Scalloped Borders Die and added three cuts in white along the bottom.

For added shine I used my Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen in Clear on the flowers.  I also added small dots of black to the flower in her hair and on her shoes with my Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Dance!

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, hello!  It is Lisa here today and I have a happy little card that’s sure to make anyone’s Birthday even brighter!  This card features the new Winnie and Walter Happy Dance Stamp Set and the Concord & 9th Sunshine Turnabout Stamp Set

This was my first time using one of the Concord & 9th’s Turnabout sets, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was!  I do suggest that you visit their video on how to mark the center of your set and how to create your own template too.  Once I had done these myself I used bright Memento Colored inks all the way around.  I then set this panel to the side.

Next, I worked on my second panel by stamping this happy little guy in the middle and the sentiment from the Happy Dance Stamp Set with Memento Ink.  To color my bear in I used a mix of Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers in Warm Beige and Saddle Brown.  I decided to go over the edges of this panel with Distress Oxide Ink in Wilted Violet and Broken China.

At this point I still felt like there was something missing so I decided to stamp, color and cut some of the streamers to add to the panel.  After these were adhered to the front of the base I finished the card off with a few colorful sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  And don’t forget to join our challenges and our current giveaway!

Die Cutting a Background

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello, hello!  And happy middle of the week!!!  It’s Lisa here with you today and I have a card I’ve created with one of the newer My Favorite Things Die Sets called STAX Color Drop.  I loved this set the minute I saw it, and it was just as fun to play with as I imagined it would be.  Take a peek…

To create this fun background that you see here I started by diecutting the two different sized drops from several Lawn Fawn cardstock colors.  Next, I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers in Surf Blue, Blue Turquoise, and Satsuma to add some coloring and dots to the larger drops.  I used my Xyron Sticker Maker to make the backside of each drop sticky and randomly adhered them to my card front.  Finally, I added a sentiment from the MFT Whimsical Wishes Stamp Set.

I hope this gives you one more idea with how you can create your own backgrounds with a single die set.  We hope to see your projects in our latest challenge too!  Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Glimmer Paste on Dark Cardstock

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects), Uncategorized

Hi!  It is Lisa here today and I am sharing what I think is a scrumptious and pretty card!  I was so excited with the way the glimmer paste by Nuvo shows on dark cardstock, that I seriously want to cover everything with this stuff! Take a peek at how I mixed this paste with lots of Altenew goodies…

To create this card I started by going over the Altenew Stencil: Sketched Lines on black cardstock with the Glimmer Paste.  I then set this off to the side and stamped and embossed my sentiment from the Altenew Beautiful Quotes Stamp Set in gold.  Next, I stamped flowers onto watercolor cardstock from the Wild Hibiscus Stamp Set.  To watercolor the flowers I used a mix of Distress Markers and Distress Oxide Ink.  I decided to fussy cut them out and added some Nuvo Drops to the centers.

Finally, I layered all of these up onto my cardbase.  Isn’t it just so pretty?!  Sometimes you just can’t help but feel excited when an idea turns out just as you were hoping.  I hope to see you share some of your new creations with us in our latest challenge featuring Christmas in July!
