A Fairy Christmas…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today, and I’m sharing a simple Fairy Christmas card with all of you that uses the new Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends Set

To create this card I started by stamping the fairies repeatedly on Neenah Solar White cardstock, and then I went back and colored them in with Copic Markers (B000, B00, RV02, RV10, BV0000, BV01, W7, W9, E15, E25, E27, Y15, YR23) before cutting them out.  I then stamped my sentiment in the top left hand corner with Versafine Ink.  I love this ink for all of my sentiments, as it always reveals a crisp and clean look.  While this was drying I die cut the “snowy” hill with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die set.  Next I popped up the fairy in the snow with foam adhesive.  The other two fairies were glued in the air with Tombow Mono-Multi Liquid Glue.  They were all three finished with some Nuvo Glitter Drops: White Blizzard on their wings.  Lastly I glued some scrap dots I had in my stash to act as falling snow.

Watercolor Holiday Cards X 3

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hi!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today and I can’t wait to share my new set of cards with you today.  I went completely clean and simple with these babies, but I LOVE it!  Check them out…

To create these cards I started by stamping my images and sentiments in various places on each of the three Tim Holtz Watercolor Panels in Versafine Ink with the new Hero Arts Origami Happy Holidays Stamp Set.  I then used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to watercolor my images.  Once the images dried I watercolored around each of them with different colors and added a few splashes of water for added texture and dimension.  I then finished them off by adding Nuveo Drops in Autumn Red.  Once each panel was dry I adhered them to black cardstock before adding them to my card bases.

To create this card I started by trimming down my patterned paper and diecutting the tag shape from the Pretty Pink Posh Craft Die Set – Stitched Duo 1.  I also die cut a yellow edge with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 Die Set.  I then stamped the cute little gophers and leaves onto separate white cardstock and colored them in with various Copic® Markers: E44, E33, E35, E37, E15, E25, E27, R20, RV91, RV95, Y15, V25, BG70, BG72, BG75.  Once I had them all colored I cut them out and layered them onto the card and tag.  Then sentiment was stamped along the bottom with Memento Rich CoaCoa Dye Ink. I also added some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins.

Happy Holidays: Retro Style…

Written by lisascreativeniche. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello!  It is Lisa Lahiff here with you today, and I’m very excited to share this CAS Christmas Card with a Retro Feel…

img_8132

I used a fun mix of products to create this card including: Retro Ornaments by Avery Elle, Lawn Fawn Stitch Border Cuts, and set #5 of the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.  To be honest this card started out as a happy accident.  When I first got my distress crayons I just wanted to play around and test them out so I mixed a few colors onto watercolor cardstock and went over them with a baby wipe. I then spritzed it with some water and perfect pearls and set it off to dry.  The stitched background was inspired by a card I had seen Jennifer McGuire create quite some time ago, and I had been itching to create one too so I did.  I also decided to round the bottom of the stitched background with My Favorite Things Die-namic Stitched Basic Edges.  I then went back to my now dry watercolor cardstock and stamped the ornament images with Versafine Ink, cut them out and added a few accents with a gold pen. I stamped the sentiment in the right corner of some patterned paper, and then I layered it all onto my cardbase.
