Hi everyone it’s Holly here today with a fun project using Lots and Lots of Die cuts!!

mp1

All the stamps and dies I’m using today are from My Favorite Things. I started by creating a frame using the Whimsical Woodgrain background stamp from MFT and some Doe Ink from Lawn Fawn on a piece of Kraft card stock. Then I die cut the frame using the Blueprints #15 & #29. Then I die cut an additional piece of White using the smaller rectangle from Blueprints #29. I added the frame to a top folding White A2 size card base with some liquid glue and then I trimmed out the top portion of the card base showing through the frame with a craft knife.

Then I stamped the images from the Adorable Hog Heaven set from MFT onto some Neenah Solar White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Copics: E30, E34, E44, E47, R0000. R00, R01, R02, YG17 & G07. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies. Using the smaller of the stitched rectangles from the Frame I created, I die cut a  piece of White card stock and added some Distress Inks in Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn to create the grass. Then I added the images to the card front and then on the reverse side making sure they lined up.

I die cut a second panel from the smallest stitched rectangle and added some Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. Then I die cut some Puffy Clouds from MFT and added the sentiment from Hog Heaven. This set is the Cutest!!!

Check out the video for more details on how I created this card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Rainbow and Unicorns..

Written by Holly Endress. Posted in Eye Candy (Projects)

Hello everyone! It’s Clare here today, sharing my first card for the blog! Today I’m showing off the super cute Mama Elephant Unicorns and Rainbows stamp set.
To start with, I heat embossed the flying unicorn and some pixies in gold embossing powder and then die cut it using the coordinating die cuts. I then colored it in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I’m Copic-impaired, but these pens blend like butter for me! I used Light Gray and Gray for the hair and hooves, Mustard for the horn (and pixie dresses), and Pale Pink for the wings. I added a little bit of clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer, and to help blend out the Mustard and Pale Pink.

I then die cut several clouds from a panel of tan cardstock, and stamped my sentiment in Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. I added some die cut vellum and white cardstock clouds to the base, and then die cut a white border frame by cutting the largest frame from the My Favorite Things STAX Pierced Rectangle out of a A2 card front, and using the larger piece for the border. I then adhered it along with the colored and die cut unicorn and pixies.

To create the sparkly shaker, I adhered a piece of clear acetate to the back of the die cut panel. Then I made a frame out of dimensional foam on the back, to create the enclosure for the glitter. I added my glitter, backed it with some pink cardstock, and then adhere the panel to the base.

That finishes up the card for my first post, but here’s some fun news!
