Reach For The Stars With WPplus9
Hello! It is Lisa here with you today, and I have a card that I think would work perfectly for any Grad young or old… or anyone who might need a little pick me up.
I just love these sweet images in the WPlus9 Design Studio Little Dreamers onto Ranger Watercolor Cardstock. To create my card I started by stamping the star image first as I wanted it in the forefront. I then masked it off and stamped the little bear hanging off the side. To color the bears and create a background I used Distress Markers to watercolor with. While the panel was still wet I flicked some white onto it to create an outer space look.
Once the panel was completely dry I die cutted it with the Lawn Fawn Stax Small Stitched Rectangle Cuts. I added some star sequins to finish the panel off before adhering it to a bright yellow and white stripe patterned paper.
When I watercolored with the Distress Markers I colored them first onto my clear stamping blocks and picked the colors up with water and a brush. I hope to see you join us in our latest challenge for a chance to win an amazing prize! And don’t forget to check out our latest giveaway too!
Thanks so much For stopping by!
Happy Cafting!

Super cute card! I love how the bear is hanging off of the star. Adorable! A few quick questions: how stable is the distress ink? If you were to mail that card and water/rain accidentally got on the card, would it ruin your image? If yes, do you know of any thing or technique that would make the distress ink more stable afterwards? Thank you in advance. I appreciate how you consistently take the time and effort to respond to the comments left for your posts. Thank you!

Hi Hanh,
If the project were to get wet it would reactive the Distress Ink. You can apply a layer of the Tim Holtz Distress micro Glaze over your completed project and it will seal everything in.

Hi Holly!
Thank you so much for your answer and advice. I will give the Distress micro glaze a try on those cards that may potentially get wet.

Thank you, Lisa … you’re always so good at replying to the comments left for your posts.
I discovered the Markerpop store at the end of last year and this blog even more recently than that. In that short period of time, I have learned so much from all of you. (I’m still really new to this cardmaking world.) You’ve all introduced me to so many new products and techniques and have inspired me with so many creative ideas. Thank you to all of you for the great job that you are doing. Here’s one reader that really looks forward to all of your posts.
