With Sympathy
{Happy Thursday, Crafters! Valerie here, and I know you’ll all know what I’m talking about here… Life has been utterly crazy for me! With surgery (and the recovery from it), starting a new full-time job while still working the old part-time job, my son’s Prom, AND a death in the family, things have been quite crazy for me. SO, with that said, I apologize for not having a post done for today! HOWEVER, I had this one ready to go on my blog for another day, so I decided to pull it over here to the MarkerPop blog, instead, because I think we can all understand my situation, right?!}
I had to make 2 completely different cards yesterday; one for my friends who are Expecting (YAY!!), and one for my Aunt & Uncle who unexpectedly lost their daughter, my cousin; talk about complete opposites. And actually, you could say that the card making was actually a therapy for me, as I’m grieving my wonderful cousin that we have lost way too soon.
Let’s start with the happy card! For this one, I pulled out a sweet old Lawn Fawn set, Plus One, and it’s coordinating die set. All the other dies used for this card are also Lawn Fawn; you can see them in the supply list at the end. I colored the image with Copic Sketch markers. The sequins are Pretty Pink Posh cupped sequins: Cornflower 4mm & Pink Blush 6mm.
For my condolences card, I pulled out a favorite Altenew set of mine, Extra Special. It stamps beautifully, and the image is just so pretty. I stamped the purples with the inks from Altenew’s Shades of Purple ink set. The greens are from Altenew’s Tropical Forest ink set.
Thanks for stopping by, and hug your loved one real tight <3

What beautiful cards you’ve made. Two totally different ends of the spectrum in terms of occasions but both wonderful, clean and simple. I love the LF Scripty Sayings stamp set. I have that one and the Celebration Sayings … both from Markerpop … both super versatile.
