Happy 30th Birthday Copic! I am absolutely in LOVE and completely OBSESSED with Copic markers. I love how they can be both soft and vivid and how well they blend. There’s just no comparison. My copic obsession has always been the sketch markers. The blending and graduation on my artwork is always smooth and flawless thanks to this style of marker. I can use the broad tip for wide areas, then quickly go back in with the brush tip and blend the rest of my colors together. Lately I’ve been obsessed with using my fluorescent markers blended with normal colors (ex.flourescent colored shadows on regular skin tone). I can always count on copic markers to push me to take my artwork to the next level. 🙂

I started using Copics at comic conventions so that I could start doing color commissions. It really exploded when I started working on My Little Pony, and continued onto working on Star Wars cards. I could NOT do my job without them. And big thanks to my friend Jeremy who let me use his for the first time and start to get hooked into them. That sharking amongst artists always makes these adoptions so much easier.

I remember the first time I ever got to try Copic Markers. A friend of mine had a wide array of colors that he spent years collecting and let me “go to town” as it were. At that point I had only used color pencils for my anime characters, but I think my eyeballs must have bugged out as I colored with the Copics. The smoothness of the ink made it look like my drawings were straight out of an anime. From then on, I was obsessed.

I have a very small collection at the moment, but hope to keep adding colors as time goes on!

As a 3D computer animator and digital artist, I have only just discovered Copics recently, within the last two months. I started by purchasing only six Copic Sketch markers at first in order to try them out for one of my character concept designs. At once, I fell in love with their soft, blendable inks, and their vast array of colors akin to a prismatic rainbow.

Since that point, I’ve been buying them individually right and left as often as I can afford. I currently have 121 colors of the 358 in less than six weeks. I am totally obsessed. I hope to collect them all eventually and use them for many years to come.

    Happy 30th Birthday, Copics!

I am a future fashion designer and feel like the Copic brand will definitely bring my illustrations to life! My hard working parents could never afford to purchase this brand for me so to be able to win would mean the world! I know it seems like not a big deal but to just hold a quality marker means that my sketches will be that much more professional for when I show off my designs to potential employers in the future.

Copic markers are what makes people keep coming back because of their ability to give beginners like myself a chance to experiment with their blending capabilities. The thing I like about them the most is that you may not always like your image, but walk away and a few minutes later it turns into something so unexpectedly beautiful.

I’ve had an obsession woth Copics ever since my friend introduced them to me. I could not afford copics, but the moment i tried tgem out, i loved it. The feel of the markers, the effect it creates.. It’s perfect. Unfortunately for me, I could only ever get a few copics over time. And that is why this giveaway truly means a lot to me. As a young teenager, my art skills are still mediocre, and I strongly believe that copics will help me improve in my art. This giveaway really means a lot to me. Thank you so much for hosting this!!
