Say AH!
Hello Dear Readers it’s me, Laura! I hope you’re having a great day and your weekend is off to a good start.
I made this for my friend who recently had surgery. I thought it would cheer her up and since it’s filled with chocolate, how could it not?
This is Nurse Tilda from the Magnolia 2011 Winner Takes It All collection. I just love her! I used a “no lines” technique to color and did this by taking my inked image and stamping on a scrap piece of paper and then stamping again on my blending card so that the image was very light. I used Memento’s London Fog ink pad for this. Then I colored with my Copic Markers.
Here is the right side where you can see the tongue depressor and some flower details. The die I used for these rolled roses is by My Favorite Things and is called Rolled Scalloped Rose. Talk about a time saver and so cute!
Moving along to the back, I added this cute little band aid made with a strip of tan cardstock, a corner rounder, heart punch and an embossing folder.
Coming back around toward the front you can see the start of the phrase Thinking About You, which is one of 8 phrases in this fantastic set of stamps by Lawn Fawn called Scripty Sayings.
Copic Markers Used: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, R20 Hair: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29 Clothes: B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N2, N4 Red Crosses: R22, R24 Bottle: BG0000, BG13, BG49
This bottle was big enough for an entire 12 oz bag of Hershey’s Kisses to fit inside (minus two). 😀
Thank you so much for stopping by today. For more details on my project you can visit my blog. Don’t forget about our current challenge that runs until Sunday, May 31, 2015 at noon CST and our theme is FLOWERS.
