Good Morning, Crafters! It’s Valerie here today!
I’m using Lawn Fawn products for this card I will be sending to a very sweet & talented, fellow crafter friend:
The leaf images on the card base are stamped with Memento London Fog dye ink onto X-Press It Blending Card paper, and colored with Copic Sketch markers YG0000, YG00, & YG0.
For the banner background, I rubbed Distress Ink pad inks on my craft mat, spritzed it with water with my Mini Mister, dabbed a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock in the inks, dried it, and repeated the process a couple more times until I got the look I liked. The Distress Ink ink pad colors I used are:
The flower and butterfly are stamped with Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock, and heat embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. To color them, I rubbed Distress Ink pad inks on my craft mat, spritzed it with water with my Mini Mister, and painted the images with the colored water. The Distress Ink ink pad colors I used are:
- Flower: Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey
- Butterfly wings: Evergreen Bough, Stormy Sky
The butterfly is coated with Zig Wink of Stella Clear, then Glossy Accents. I stamped the butterfly again, and the sentinent with Ranger Tim Holtz Embossing Ink, covered the image with black glitter embossing powder, heat embossed them, cut out the butterfly’s body, and glued it on top of the full butterfly with crafting glue.
I added Pretty Pink Posh sequins: 4mm Cupped Sparkling Clear, and 6mm Cupped Lemon Meringue. The twine is Craftkin’s Lemonade Baker’s Twine.
The banner and butterly are both adhered with 3D Foam Squares; the flower is adhered with my Crafter’s Companion Tape runner. The card base is Bazzill Classic Smooth White paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and Happy Crafting!

This is absolutely stunning! I just love the watercolor look and I swear I thought your butterfly was a chipboard piece with all that dimension – just gorgeous! I’m ready for spring now. 😉
