Challenge Prize #57

THE PRIZE:  LAWN FAWN – WINTER PENGUIN STAMP SET AND WINTER PENGUIN DIE

One entry will be chosen at random to receive our prize. Three additional entries will be chosen for the ‘Top 3’ based on their amazing coloring skills. The prize winner and top three can all proudly post their brag buttons on their blogs for the world to see!
Entries are due by Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at noon EST.  Winner will have TWO weeks to claim their prize.
You will have THREE WEEKS to enter this challenge instead of the usual two.
International winners will be responsible for shipping costs if they choose to claim their prize.

For this challenge I created a wintery Christmas card using the Lawn Fawn – Winter Penguin stamp set along with the matching Winter Penguin die.  I stamped the penguin in Memento – Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It blending paper and colored him with Copics:
C5, C4, C2
W2, W1
R39, R37, R35
G28, G07, G03
YR18, YR14, YR12

I stamped the little snowflakes from the same stamp set with a light blue ink onto some X-Press It blending paper.  I cut that piece out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.  I also cut a partial sheet of light blue from the Lawn Fawn – Peace, Joy, Love 6×6 paper pad with the same die to use as ice.  I stamped ‘happy’ and ‘holidays’ from the same Winter Penguin stamp set.  The little red heart was cut out using the smallest die from the Lawn Fawn – Hearts die set.

The red background piece is from the same Lawn Fawn paper pad and is cut out using a die from the Lawn Fawn – Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables die set.

The card base is the Lawn Fawn – Navy Woodgrain Notecard.

Everything was adhered using the Crafter’s Companion – Adhesive Runner and dimensional foam adhesive.

I added a bow using the MarkerPOP – Sweet Holiday baker’s twine.  I don’t think this twine could be any more perfect for Christmas!  To finish everything off I added some Wink of Stella Glitter Pen in Clear to the penguin, snowflakes, and heart.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the penguin’s beak and the heart for some shine.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with for this ‘Winter/Christmas’ challenge!  🙂
