A Gorjuss Girl and Deep Blue
Hi everyone, Marlena here for Tuesday Tips and Tricks. Today’s tip has to do with using your copic markers for the color blue. I’m always looking for new color combinations and I love deep, dark colors. This is especially true of my copic markers as they have such amazing deep colors. Usually when coloring a deep blue I use E39 as my darkest color. I wanted my shadows a little darker this time so I used c9 as my darkest color and I got a nice deep, rich blue from this color combination. The entire list of blues I used for her dress are C9, B39, B37, B34, B32. I know, I know, I use a lot of colors when shading and you may able to get the same results with less colors, but this is what works best for me. The image I used for my project today is a Gorjuss Girl image, You Brought Me Love. I know that everyone has their style for shading, mine is dark to light. I place my darkest colors first and then work to my lightest. This is the technique that currently seems to be working the best for me. Take a look below and see what I mean. My end project was a note pad I put together as a possible gift. I am thinking ahead toward Christmas projects and I think I may give this one to my sister.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!
