Bring, Briiiinnnggg ~
Hello iCopic friends! It’s me, Alyssa, again here to bring you a card that shows you how to use your Copics for something more than just coloring an image.
Today I’ve used a new line of stamps that iCopic is carrying called Lawn Fawn. I’m sure you’ve seen these adorable stamps around blogland. So cute, fun and whimsical! I’ve used the set Just My Type – a great collection of a typewriter, old rotary phone, scissors and a thumb tack along with some punny sentiments.
I began by stamping out the phone in Memento Tuxedo Black. It’s colored in with the new Copic Sketch colors RV63, RV66 and the new to Ciao color RV69 for some deep shadows.
The accents on the phone needed to be another color, so I went with plain ole white! But you can’t just leave plain ole white…well, plain. I added some depth by shading with C1, C3 and 0 Colorless Blender. These cool grays really make a white stand out in the way it should and work well with the cooler red violet tones.
I needed a ribbon to work with the card I had in mind but didn’t have one on hand. I used the Tuesday Tips & Tricks presented by my fellow DT member Wanda, from a few weeks back, of coloring your white ribbon with Copics. Such an easy and economical way to add just the right color to your projects!
I started with a white striped ribbon. It has 4 thin satin stripes of ribbon in an organza (??? I think that’s what it’s called) base. I chose the two newest to the Copic world colors, RV63 and RV66, to color the two middle stripes.

I forget that you can color embellishments (including rhinestones!) with Copics too. Thanks for the adorable reminder! =)
